A note from the studio

Autumn has settled in and the studio is full of ideas, of work in progress, of things we're not quite ready to share yet but are genuinely excited about.

Our work travelled to Brussels for Collectible while we stayed home, and something new is on its way to Melbourne. We're glad to have both to share with you today. As April arrives in full force, we look forward to being in touch over the next few weeks and sharing more of what’s to come.

Melbourne Design Week | All Heaven Broke Loose

A new work by Fomu will be presented as part of All Heaven Broke Loose at the Abbotsford Convent.

All Heaven Broke Loose convenes objects that operate through gentleness, attending to form, material and bodily address as sites of meaning. Set against an increasingly hardened visual and material culture, the exhibition advances an alternative set of values grounded in sensitivity, permeability and welcome. The dominant force in All Heaven Broke Loose is one that actively slouches, diffuses and curls, to and for the body.

Presented by KOEH Studio, the exhibition positions gentleness as an active force – one that guides behaviour, shapes encounters and reconsiders what authority can look like within contemporary design.

Collectible, Brussels With Jordan Fleming

We asked designer Jordan Fleming to share her favourite pieces at Collectible Fair in Brussels.

As we were unable to attend in person while presenting our work at this year's Collectible Fair in Brussels, Belgium, we asked Melbourne-based artist and designer Jordan Fleming to share some of her favourite pieces—allowing us to experience the fair vicariously through her.

Jordan Fleming is a Melbourne-based artist and designer working across sculpture, furniture and lighting. With a background in cabinet making and interior design, her practice is deeply material-led—allowing each piece to evolve through a responsive process.

Rooted in traditional furniture-making yet experimental in approach, her work transforms everyday objects into sculptural, expressive forms that invite interaction and a sense of intimacy within a space.
