Welcome back, and to a new year. After a short pause over the holiday period, the studio has reopened. The quieter weeks offered space to reset, to reflect on what we make, and to consider how our objects sit within lived environments. We return with focus and a renewed sense of direction for the year ahead.
Fomu is a design studio working across furniture, objects and spatial thinking. From our base in Tasmania, the practice moves between small-run pieces and bespoke design services, shaped through close attention to material, proportion and use. Each object begins with function, then develops through restraint, detail and a respect for how materials age, wear and respond to daily life.

From 12-15 March, Fomu will be presented as part of a curated selection at Collectible Design, Brussels. The presentation brings together studios whose work sits at the intersection of contemporary design, material intelligence and considered production.
