We’re proud to announce that Fomu Studio has been invited to exhibit at Alcova Milano during this year’s Milan Design Week, showcasing our new Frame Chair at Villa Bagatti Valsecchi in Room F19.

When Alcova reached out, it felt surreal. This has always been the exhibition we've dreamed of being part of – a space that feels aligned with the kind of design we believe in: thoughtful, experimental, and quietly powerful. To be showing our work in Milan, within the architectural beauty of a historic villa, is something we’ll carry with us for a long time.

The Frame Chair is made in Tasmania, where we live and design. It’s part of our latest collection, Frame – named for its bold, structural form and architectural silhouette. The design is unapologetically solid, with proportions that feel both grounded and sculptural. Crafted from raw aluminium, the piece is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, developing a soft patina over time that adds depth and character. For those who prefer a more refined surface, we also offer clear or coloured powder-coated finishes.

Presented within the grand interiors of Villa Bagatti Valsecchi, the piece sits in dialogue with ornate ceilings, terrazzo floors, and century-old details – an unexpected but fitting contrast to the stripped-back geometry of the Frame Chair.
