Mild steel
Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasives and scouring pads. Apply a light coat of wax or oil regularly to protect against moisture and rust.
Aluminium
Wipe with a damp cloth; use mild soap and water for stubborn marks. Aluminium wax or polish can help maintain shine. Natural oxidation contributes to the material’s character and does not compromise structural integrity. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive pads.
Stainless steel
Clean with mild detergent and warm water, then dry with a soft cloth. Use stainless-steel cleaner for tougher stains. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive pads.
Powdercoat
- Wash with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
- Clean regularly, particularly in marine or commercial settings.
- Do not pressure wash or steam.
- Touch-up paint may be available for scratches and chips.
- Repair chips promptly. Damage caused by rough treatment is not covered by warranty.
Glass, Perspex, resin and ceramic
Use a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive soap for stubborn marks. Do not use metallic scourers. Chipping and scratching are considered wear and tear.
Marble, granite and tile
Clean with warm soapy water. Do not leave food residue or liquid on the surface. Staining and chipping are considered general wear and tear.
Timber — acrylic two-pack finish
Clear satin lacquer includes a UV protector, but prolonged direct sunlight should still be avoided. Use coasters, cloths and mats beneath hot objects. Avoid excessive liquids and moisture, which can cause movement, cracking or mould.
Timber — oil and wax finish
Use Osmo Spray Cleaner 8026 for regular cleaning. Rejuvenate faded or dull surfaces with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner 3029. Do not use household or harsh chemical detergents.
Additional timber care
Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Use pads or coasters between objects and timber surfaces. Manage indoor humidity and keep furniture away from sudden changes in temperature or relative humidity.
